Lauren Hemp scored twice in four minutes to seal the win for City, who move up to third in the table
Manchester City moved up to third in the Women's Super League table with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, thanks to a brace from Lauren Hemp.
Hemp struck twice in the space of four minutes in the second half to cancel out Rachel Daly's opener for Villa.
Chloe Kelly added a third for City in the 89th minute to seal the win.
The result leaves Villa in 11th place in the table, while City move up to third, behind leaders Arsenal and Chelsea.
Hemp's goals were her first in the league since November and they will be a welcome boost for City, who have struggled for goals this season.
The England international now has five goals in all competitions for City this season and she will be hoping to add to that tally when they face Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final next weekend.
Villa, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have lost after taking the lead through Daly.
The striker scored her first goal for the club since joining from Houston Dash in January and she will be hoping to continue her good form when they face Brighton in the WSL next weekend.
