Physician and Activist to Represent Green Party
Challenging the Two-Party System with Climate Action Agenda
Jill Stein, a 73-year-old physician and environmental activist, has announced her candidacy for the presidency in the 2024 election. Stein, who previously ran for president in 2012 and 2016 as the Green Party nominee, will seek the party's nomination once again.
"I'm running for president with the Green Party to offer a choice for the people outside the failed two-party system," Stein said in a statement. "We'll put a pro-worker, anti-war, climate action agenda front and center in this campaign."
Stein is a physician from Massachusetts who has long been involved in politics and activism. She is a vocal advocate for environmental protection, healthcare reform, and social justice. In her previous presidential campaigns, she advocated for policies such as a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and tuition-free college.
The Green Party is a third-party political organization in the United States. It supports environmentalism, social justice, and non-interventionism.
