England kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia

Gareth Southgate's side will be looking to end their long wait for a major trophy

England will begin their latest bid to end a near six-decade trophy drought when they entertain Serbia at Euro 2024.

The Three Lions have not won a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup, and they will be hoping to break their duck in Germany next summer.

England have been drawn in Group C alongside Serbia, Norway and the Czech Republic, and they will be confident of reaching the knockout stages.

Serbia will be no pushovers, however. They are ranked 21st in the world by FIFA, and they have a number of talented players in their squad.

The match between England and Serbia will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on June 16, 2024.
