Rosemary Mair back as New Zealand name experienced squad for T20 World Cup

New Zealand have named an experienced squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in South Africa, with Rosemary Mair returning to the side after a two-year absence.

Mair, who has played 93 T20Is for New Zealand, is one of four players in the squad who have played more than 100 games for their country. The other three are Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine and Amy Satterthwaite.

The squad also includes several other experienced players, such as Lea Tahuhu, Hayley Jensen and Jess Kerr. However, there are also a few new faces in the squad, including uncapped players Georgia Plimmer and Izzy Gaze.

Mair's return to the side is a welcome boost for New Zealand, who will be looking to improve on their performance at the last T20 World Cup, where they finished sixth.

Mair is a versatile player who can bat, bowl and field, and she will provide the White Ferns with some much-needed experience and depth.

New Zealand will open their T20 World Cup campaign against Australia on February 11.
